Microsoft has reportedly included a private browsing mode in the Beta 2 version of Internet Explorer 8, referred to as the 'porn mode'.
Microsoft has reportedly included a private browsing mode in the Beta 2 version of Internet Explorer 8 expected anytime soon. The IE 8's consumer-focused Beta 2 release is scheduled for this month. With only a few days left for the month to end, the Beta 2 could be out any time now.
The private browsing mode will allow users to disable the history, file-caching features of a web browser, and will also notify users in case they are being tracked. This mode, also known as 'porn mode', is already available with the Safari browser. Firefox was to include this feature in the latest iteration of its web browser, but they deferred it citing the complex redesigning that its implementation would require. However, future iterations are all set to have this feature.
The final version of IE 8 is expected to be out by the end of 2008. So let's wait and watch!
