    A forum post claims that the PlayStation 3 has been hacked to play Blu-ray games straight off the hard drive

The administrator at the PS3HaX forum -- incidentally, called Pirate -- has posted on what appears to be a hack to run PS3 Blu-ray games directly off the hard drive. He posts "Now before everyone gets excited and yells 'ISO LOADER', this method only works with older gamers... the games currently confirmed to be working this method [sic] are Warhawk, MotorStorm, RFOM [Resistance: Fall of Man], GT5 [Gran Turismo 5: Prologue], COD3 [Call of Duty 3]".

There seem to be two ways of doing this: "the legal and non legal way", as Pirate puts it. More here.
