Build Quality And Design

The phone follows the candy bar design with a metal body most and plastic on the front face. The piece that we received was black in color, with racing stripes on the sides. This gave it a pretty stylish look and feel. The all-metal body does add to the weight but the feeling of security you get is incomparable. The phone is perfectly balanced, which makes it a pleasure to use.
The screen and the keys share the face of the phone equally. The screen is 2-inch big with a display resolution of 320x240. It's quite bright and since the brightness is adjustable via the settings menu, you will not have a problem with the screen being too bright or too dim.
Just above the screen are two small squares and a bar in the middle. The square on the left is the light sensor and the one on the right is the secondary camera for video calling. The bar in the middle is the earpiece.
The keys are divided into two segments - number keys and other keys.
The number keys are tactile and ergonomic but are just a bit too small. Fortunately though, this does not pose an issue since they are still easy to use as there is sufficient gap between keys, preventing accidental pressing of the wrong key.
The other keys on the face are the D-Pad, the left and right soft keys, the call receiver keys, the multi-tasking key and the cancel key. These keys have the same flaws as the number keys. The call disconnect key also serves as the power key. This is not noticeable at first glance since the power symbol is not painted but just etched into the key.

To the left of the phone is the lonesome POP port, which provides for connectivity to a PC via a USB cable. To the right of the phone are the volume rocker and the camera key. Utilization of the keys without looking at them is not advised since they are placed quite close to each other and there is a very good chance that you will press the camera key instead of the volume up key.

At the back of the phone are the loudspeaker and the battery slot.
The camera lens is where the design of this phone goes to the next level. To get to the camera lens you need to hold the sides, towards the upper end, and tug lightly. The part of the phone above the screen slides up revealing the camera, the accompanying flash and self-portrait mirror hidden beneath. Just next to the lens is a thin strip of transparent plastic which lights up an eerie blue when the camera cover is opened.
Overall I really liked the design and build quality of this phone. The metal body goes a long way in assuring a sturdy build and safety from a few drops. The keys, though small, didn't give me a problem and the slide-out design to reveal the camera was pure class. The only drawback of this phone is the battery cover. Removing the cover is difficult with you having to pry the lid off with your fingernail. This prevents it from being multiple removal friendly.
