Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Ltd (TTML) is collaborating with Novatium Solutions to bring the NovaPC to India.
After launching the NovaPC in Mauritius last week, Novatium Solutions has now announced the same thin-client solution in India in collaboration with Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Ltd (TTML).
NovaPC is a thin-client based network computer that can be used for both computing applications as well as accessing the Internet. It supports both Windows and Linux operating systems and also runs local applications using USB peripherals.
According to Milesh Ruparel, President (Corporate), TTML, "The NovaPC provides at a very affordable price all the advantages of a Personal Computer with none of the hassles of hardware maintenance, software licensing, upgrades and viruses. Additionally, it provides monitoring mechanisms to facilitate parental control on both content and time."
With a price tag of less than USD 100, or Rs. 4,500, NovaPC is targeted at middle-class Indians and small and medium enterprises seeking to access the Web.
