The new slider phone packs in much more advanced features than its predecessor the Nokia 6110 Navigator
Nokia 6210 Navigator made its debut in the Indian market and is being marked as the successor to the 6110 Navigator, which is now more than one year old.
The new slider 6210 Navigator comes with more advanced features. These include a 2.4 inch TFT display, built-in GPS, digital compass, Nokia Maps, quad-band GSM connectivity (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz) and a 3.15 MP camera with auto focus, flash and video recording. Though the phone lacks Wi-Fi support it comes with an expandable 120MB of internal memory.
Nokia 6210 Navigator runs on a Symbian S60 platform and weighs 117 grams. Priced around Rs. 17000, the phone will be available in black and red.
I heard the 6210 navigation service is not free for life like 6110. it is free only for first 6 months and after that you need to pay monthly.. any updates ???
No GPS service in the world is free. In india they are giving it for 6 months. For 6110, it was only 3 months. Also check if it has ready maps for the city where you stay. Currently I think only caters for 10 cities in India, but Nokia is going to update more soon.
To Amit
GPS service is free all over the world, in Europe you just have to buy the device and Maps..one time buy, then if you use the same map for rest of your life its free
