    Creative has tinkered with the Zen Stone Plus and added a loudspeaker to contribute to its appeal.

    Great build, Custom equalizer, Bass booster, Good battery life.

    Bad placement of loudspeaker, Loudspeaker is somewhat shrill, Data transfer speed is low.

Design and Build Quality

The base model is once again the rock-inspired Creative Zen Stone. The Zen Stone Plus added a screen to the design and now the Zen Stone Plus with a speaker, adds a loudspeaker to the Creative Zen Stone Plus.



Two nearly same sized circles dominate the face of the player. The left circle is the OLED screen and the right circle is the circular D-Pad. The center key of the D-Pad serves as a selection key and also brings up the menu even within an application. The up/down keys are for the volume control and the left and right provide track control (music playback)/station selection (FM).



On the bottom of the player is a mini-USB port. On the top is the 3.5mm headphone jack, a tiny LED and two keys.



The LED indicates the power status of the player. The Play/pause key and the shortcut key share the two ends of one long key. Beside the Play/Pause key is the mic hole. By default, the shortcut key is set to enable/disable the loudspeaker.



The loudspeaker is assigned to the back of the player. This did pose a problem a few times since keeping the player in the standard position decreased the volume of the music heard.
On the overall, the build quality of the player is good and the positioning of the keys is great. The only problem is the positioning of the loudspeaker.
Carrying the player around has also been simplified by the addition of the carrying case to the bundle along with a detachable clip.

which is better? buying a mobile phone with speaker or this one? i already have an ngage qd but sound is bad. any advises?

considering the power problems with this player maybe it is better to buy a mobile phone with speaker although you may have to compromise a little on quality. But if u are to particular about the quality of sound then you can take a chance buying a ZEN

There seems to be a problem with the power system of the battery unit. I purchased 4 players and 2 are dead one within a month of purchase and the second in 2 months.Of course the first one has already been replaced under warranty . Second one is still not replaced. There seems to be no technical support available except replacement which takes about 3 weeks.

SIR,STONEplus with speaker is just stone plus...speaker is just an add on...one must not expect loud or boom box sound from a tiny device and its mini speaker. YET this mini queen has amazing soung quality...with all the lows, mids, highs and bass perfect with very sweet output.IT IS just addictive.NO NEED to go for expensive MP3 players...just buy a creative ep 50 earphone(i dislike inear phone) and the music and song will envelope u like never before. WHEN u see it first u will shocked with its small size but when it comes to the quality it is unbeatable.THE BIG PLUS is very long battery performance...it will just go on....also the flickering jet plane like blue light is very attractive at night and catch attention in any party etc.. also the build is just like STONE as the name is.AND ALL THIS AT JUST RS2500...just buy.AMAZING PRODUCT.

I bought the zen stone plus with speaker for Rs.2,650 at Hyderabad 2 months back. It was good having a loudspeaker to an MP3. And add to this review it also supports iTunes Plus(it specifies on the box but i never checked it out).
