    Amazon's S3 web service suffered an outage a few hours ago

Amazon's web storage service -- S3 went down earlier taking a few web services along with it. Twitter had several broken images, for example; also unavailable were a large number of images and videos stored on SmugMug. Services seem to be at least partially restored currently.
