your comparing this to the 1330. have you bothered to notice that sony is offering the 8100 processor (which happens to be the latest) whereas the 1330 offers only the 5800 at this price. opting for the same prices shoots its price up real high.
i think that this baby has a fairly decent package. although 2.5 hrs of battery life really leaves something to be desired.

i think both laptops are in different leagues - the 1330 and the sony. the 1330 is a managers laptop with a limited screen size and a slot loader optical drive. besides, with additional battery options, the 1330 offers upto 6 hrs of battery life with some tweaking.
