Custom port
On the bottom half are all the keys. There are three keys on the left and one on the right. The first two keys from the top are the Volume keys. They are in function only during a call or when the music player is active. Otherwise they are the quick access keys for the sound profiles (vibrate only, ring only...). Just below this is a 'side selection key'. This has a multitude of uses. While the phone is closed the button is used to select, and when held down it locks and unlocks the external keys. On the right hand side is the voice command key. Holding it down activates the voice command function, which lets you start up a variety of applications by just speaking.
The main screen that sits on the inside of the lid is a 2-inch 240x320 display. This ensures clear readability and ease of use. In my opinion, anyone who cannot do with this screen should invest in a laptop rather than a mobile phone.

Front view
The keypad has a flat design. This tends to be frustrating when paired with small keys. Motorola seems to have realised this and provided a keypad with large keys that are easy to type. Also, you don't have to apply a lot of force to type.
There are two extra keys on the keypad, a music key that provides quick access to the music player and can be used as a task control key that sends the currently active application to the background without terminating it. However, it's unable to bring up a list of currently running applications.
