Will AOC's "2218Ph" measure up to Apple's Mac in terms of Style Quotient?
If you've secretly envied your neighbor for owning that sleek Mac while publicly professing being the proud owner of a PC, then this one's for your eyes only.
AOC has introduced the "2218Ph" 22-inches flat-screen monitor, which it claims "brings that element of style that only Mac users have enjoyed so far". Yes, the "2218Ph" is quite sleek-looking, and comes with a polished aluminium cabinet, zinc stand, and a glossy paint job in black to boot. But whether it fares better than the Mac in the style department is your guess as good as ours.
Specs of the "2218Ph" include:
FRC 8-bit panel (16.2 million colors)
ultra-high dynamic contrast ratio of 12,000:1
illuminating touch-key
HDMI inputs
HDCP-ready digital content in HD
2ms ultra-fast response time
Vista-certified
What's the big deal about being Vista certified. Only that as of now, Vista is the only Windows that supports Blu-ray (and HD-DVD?) at 1080p.
Already out in the UK, we hope it is headed in this direction (although we can't say when it'll hit our shores).
