The GA-MA78GPM-DS2H promises enhanced integrated graphics performance for the AMD AM2+ platform with DirectX 10 support.
Gigabyte has extended its range of AMD 780G solutions with the announcement of the latest GA-MA78GPM-DS2H motherboard. The new motherboard promises enhanced integrated graphics performance for the AMD AM2+ platform with DirectX 10 support. It features 128MB of onboard DDR3 SidePort memory that claims to offer up to 10 percent additional boost in 3D graphics performance.
The GA-MA78GPM-DS2H is based on the AMD 780G chipset, and claims to offer future CPU headroom with support for AMD AM2 Athlon processors as well as the AMD AM2+ platform with ultra low latency, high bandwidth (5200MT/s) Hyper Transport 3.0 technology. Utilizing a 4+1 power phase design, the GA-MA78GPM-DS2H fully supports high Thermal Design Power (TDP) 125W AMD CPUs, the company claims.
At the heart of the GA-MA78GPM-DS2H lies the ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics core with support for DirectX 10 graphics, Shader Model 4.0, and OpenGL2.0. To boost graphics performance of the ATI Radeon 3200, GA-MA78GPM-DS2H includes 128MB of DDR3 SidePort memory onboard running at 1066MHz or 1333MHz (OC). Utilizing the SidePort memory rather than shared system memory, integrated graphics performance is enhanced by up to an additional 10 percent, delivering a 3DMark06 score of 2300+ (by overclocking).
The GA-MA78GPM-DS2H provides connectivity options including D-sub and DVI, support for HDMI, and for ATI AVIVO technology for video playback. According to Gigabyte, the motherboard allows playback of HD content up to 1080P, with full support for HDCP for Blu-Ray HD content. It also supports the innovative ATI UVD (Unified Video Decoder) technology, which claims to provide fine image quality and smooth playback, all while consuming less power.
The GA-MA78GPM-DS2H is priced at Rs 8,900. More information about this product can be found here.
