The memory card reader is situated on the front left of the device, protected behind a folding door. It can read many memory card formats but seems to have left out MMC. Just besides this, you can find the PictBridge port for direct printing from a compatible camera or mobile phone.

The control panel aided by a 2.5 inch color swivel LCD screen, provides fairly extensive control to the device. There are no separate buttons for color and black copy, so you need to select this in the UI and obtain a copy using the single copy button. This can be a bit inconvenient as compared to having separate buttons for the same purpose. You can also access the memory card and special print functions here. Photos can be viewed as a slide show, an index sheet of photos can be printed or you can even print frames from a motion JPEG movie present on the memory card. The reprint/restore function is a nifty one, letting you scan an old photograph and restore the original colors (or at least try to do so) before reprinting.
