As consumers reported problems with the latest update of the PlayStation 3 firmware, Sony has pulled the release until further notice
As reported earlier by TECHTREE, firmware version 2.4 for the PlayStation 3 was announced and released by Sony over this week.
All is not well with the update however. Due to reports from "a limited number [...] of consumers experiencing an issue with installing the system software update on their PS3," Sony has pulled the update until further notice.
Reports trickled in of users experiencing problems after updating to the new firmware. Sony, through its blog, addressed the problem stating that it has "seen a low volume of calls on this topic," they further stated that the problem is being worked upon. "We are working diligently to isolate the problem for those few consumers and to identify a solution before we put the firmware back up."
