Battery Life
The Kodak V1273 uses a proprietary KLIC-7004 (1000 mAh) Li-Ion rechargeable battery that can be charged using the charger provided in the bundle. We were able to shoot about 170 shots with minimum flash usage and about 150 shots with average flash usage, and fiddling around with the menu.
Considering that the KLIC 7004 is a 1000 mAh battery, these figures seem to be too small but we think it's the 3-inch LCD and the constant need for using the touchscreen menu that is responsible. In addition, Kodak cameras' battery-draining capabilities are proverbial. Getting a second battery pack won't be a bad idea here.
Conclusion
The Kodak EasyShare V1273 is available for Rs. 15,999 with a one-year warranty and a 1GB SD card included in the pack.
For this price, what you get is an average consumer camera with killer looks and a touchscreen navigation system that'll blow your mind away. It seems like an ideal first buy for the average user who is not given to experimenting with photography. And if 16k seems to be too much, you could get yourself the 10MP version, the V1073 for about 2,000 bucks less.
