Design & Layout

The Aspire 6920G is a really good-looking laptop. The floating Gemstone logo on the lid of the laptop is cool to look at; it's glossy and adds to the laptop's charm.





On the sides of the laptop there are 4 USB 2.0 ports, three of which sit on the right side. The rest of the right side is occupied by the 8x optical DVD-RW of the laptop. The left side of the laptop has a LAN port, modem port, the 4 USB ports and the audio connectors (headphones/SPDIF, line-out, MIC/line-in). The PCMCI card port is also on the left side of the laptop. The card reader slot is placed in the front for easy access.

I've had this laptop for a yr n half now! I must say tat its awesome just for the purpose of entertainment. fully loaded! great design. love it till now! but d 1ly drawback is tat it heats somewhat higher than the normal laps. but for the price, its d best deal !!!!!!!!!!! i can assure you that!

Writing this from UK. Feel sorry for the configuration Acer has provided in India. Picking up the same laptop here with Intel Core 2 Duo T8100 / 2.1 GHz, 800 MHz Bus Speed, 4 GB RAM, 320 HDD and dedicated NVIDIA GeForce 9500M 512 MB Card. Did i miss anything ? No complaints.

hmmm this same laptop is available for the same price in Europe but with 4 GB of RAM and with a NVIDIA 9500M GS 512MB.....Don't know why they launched this laptop with On-Board graphics in India.....maybe the government duties are high :|

Ridiculous ! A multimedia laptop with onboard graphics ! A Geforce 8400 GS is a minimum at this price. A Geforce 8600 GT with similar specs would make this a good buy.
