Battery Life

The battery is a Samsung-proprietary SLB-0837(B), 3.7 V (800mAh) Li-ion that lasts for about 190 to 200 shots with minimal reviewing, and around 170 shots with a fair bit of use of the flash and reviewing of pictures as well. Of course, it's always better to have an extra battery.

Conclusion

The Samsung NV15 is available for Rs. 14,000 with a one-year warranty. For that price, what you get is a good-looking and stylish camera that gives just about average quality images. For now, the Canon Pwershot A720 IS is the best camera you'll find for that price band.

Unfortunately it suffers from poor image quality, with significant levels of noise at all ISO settings, better options available. Samsung has just not been able to do well in camera business as yet. Camera biz is still personal fief of Japanese brands Canon, Sony, Panasonic, Nikon.

You are damn right. Samsung has just not been able to do well in camera business as yet. Camera biz is still personal fief of Japanese brands Canon, Sony, Panasonic, Nikon.
