    QNAP has launched its latest NVR-1012 Network Surveillance kit

NAS Storage and Surveillance products manufacturer QNAP has released the NVR-1012 Network Surveillance kit. Meant for homes and offices, it is designed to give a professional grade video recording ability for people concerned with their property's security. The kit includes surveillance system device and two IP cameras.

It uses the Linux OS at its core. The interface is based on Internet Explorer, thus no software needs to be installed. Also, the Ethernet connection allows for remote monitoring via a different computer. It can even stream the live video stream to any 3GPP-format supporting handset.

Other features include 2-way audio broadcasting, motion detection, UPS, electronic map etc.
