User Interface:
The User Interface is the same as what we saw on the new Apple iPod Nano. It incorporates Apple's Cover Flow that lets you browse through albums via their covers. But the true beauty of Cover Flow is realized only when you have all the appropriate album artwork present along with the album files.
The interface is quite simple and intuitive to use. You can play songs according to a variety of categories and rate the songs as well to sort them on the basis of their rankings. There were a lot of EQ presets -- but no way to tweak your own custom one.
Of the pre-installed games, I loved playing Vortex on it.
Performance:
Audio:
I would rate the audio quality of the iPod as being pretty good. The ranges were pretty balanced. But it definitely loses out sonically to some of the players from Samsung and Sony.
Video:
Watching videos on a decently sized screen is an advantage, as compared to some of the tiny screens I've come across recently. The videos played very smoothly. I would want to enjoy watching music videos, TV shows, and even movies on the player. In fact, with 160 GB of storage space, one can pretty much offload their entire movie collection on to it without a second thought.
