Rockstar Games' most eagerly-awaited title "Grand Theft Auto IV" will now not only be available in the US but also across India -- beginning Tuesday, April 29th, 2008.

This was announced by e-xpress Interactive, a leading Indian distributor of games and entertainment software. GTA IV for both the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 will be available in stores throughout the country starting the 29th of this month, e-xpress said.

And while the Xbox 360 version will come for Rs 2,499, the PS3 version will sport a tad higher price tag, i.e. Rs 2,999.

Meanwhile, e-xpress Interactive said there's no separate Indian version but remains incommunicado on the availability of online play in the soon-to-launch game. Recently, it was announced that in a first, the game would get online play with support for up to 16 players online both on the Xbox 360 and the PS3 -- complete with four new multi-player modes such as 'Deathmatch' and 'GTA Race'.
