Build and Design: Refurbished and Revised



The Sony Ericsson W890i fully reminds you of its previous iteration. The body is stainless steel for the most part, and is available in three color options instead of just black and silver: there's now Mocha Brown. (We received the black version for review.) The golden-colored Walkman branding gives the phone the looks of a premium handset.



I also noticed that the metal has a smooth matte finish, which will keep fingerprints at bay. The overall construction is solid.

The size remains the same as that of the W880i, but the W890i feels smaller because of its curved edges. The slimness of the handset makes it initially difficult to hold, but you will eventually feel comfortable using it. (It took me a couple of days to adjust!)



The keypad and D-Pad are both good -- ergonomic as well as tactile, and this phone will be a favorite with frequent texters. The D-Pad has a new design with separate calling keys (which are golden in color). It is comfortable to use, as are the ergonomically-curved keys.

hi i took this phone 3 months back there is no problem with my phone but the thing is i need a silicon cover for this and i am not to get this anywhere please help me

I would still go for W910 for its large 2.4 inch display and has more style factor then this one. the cam of this one falls on same line with w910.

W910 have only 2 MP camera and only 40 MB internal memory which is not worth for this cost...

in delhi on 2/7/08 it was 14.7 k, but available only at selective outlets like RPG Cellucom & Sony EXP. Store (just like Nokia priority) ..not on those hotspots or ..others...but i luv this cell..i have w580..another gud one but w890 excels....only flip in this one is ..1. A bit small screen comp. with in its price range 2. Flash..(doesnt matter much to music lover like me)..I think N82 & N78..can be good options..BUT SE RULZ...

some sucker seems to have first time handled a S.E. fone for giving such a high rating... all that he has written is trademark of most S.E. walkman phones... this is indeed a great fone, but the video recording still sucks and i don't think there is a flash in it..... how can it be the best S.E. fone?? leave alone the best fone
