WeP Announces TriShare Dot Matrix Printer

Called TriShare because it has built-in Parallel, Serial, and USB interfaces; meaning up to three desktops can share a single printer without investment on an external hardware sharer.

WeP Peripherals has announced launching "TriShare DSI810", its new series of 24 Pin, 80 color Dot matrix printers that come with eight Indian languages (Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu) built-in.

Called TriShare because it has built-in Parallel, Serial, and USB interfaces; meaning up to three desktops can share a single printer without investment on an external hardware sharer. WeP claims the DSI810 has MTBF of 10,000 Power on Hour (POH) facility, and can deliver non-stop performance at any given load.

The printer promises printing speeds of up to 360 CPS @ HS Draft 12 CPI (characters per inch) for English and Indian languages. It has a wide range of connectivity options and 1+3 multi part capability; the company claims it is best suited for office applications. Other features include a 64kb input buffer that ensures faster PC freeing time, a Ribbon life of 3 million characters along with bar code printing, and a Virtual Front Panel making for easier user operations.

WeP TriShare DSI 810 printers come for Rs 10,800 apiece.
