Airtel's move is expected to give its customers easy access to Google's simple yet powerful applications over the company's fast and reliable Broadband network.
Airtel yesterday announced the launch of "airtellive.com", claimed to be an all-in-one Internet portal for its customers. This makes the company the first telco in the country to launch such a portal, it said.
The portal is looked upon as a milestone for Airtel; it builds upon the existing Broadband ecosystem to establish an Internet destination for Web applications, said Atul Bindal, president of Airtel Telemedia Services during the launch.
Airtel's move is expected to give its customers easy access to Google's simple yet powerful applications over the company's fast and reliable Broadband network. At "airtellive.com", Airtel customers will can access -- for free -- Google's Applications messaging and collaboration Suite that includes email services, Google documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. Services are co-branded and powered by Google and Airtel Broadband. Airtel claims it has also partnered the likes of shaadi.com, 24x7guru, and naukri.com to offer exclusive deals and discounts on its portal.
Bharti Airtel, spear-headed by Sunil Bharti Mittal, is the country's leading integrated telecom services provider with a total subscriber base of nearly 61.91 million.

dear sir, I am a bsnl customer on land line phone, staying in nalconagar, orissa .for last 15 days i am getting calls from airtel mobile nos at odd hours and disturbing me a lot.i think many persons are getting the same calls in myn township.is it a business drive from airtel ?how to get rid of this bad calls?can you help me ?
I fully agree with the views expressed by Prashanth. To access the account details, it is paining to note that we have to submit hard copy to their main office. They have to change their outlook before going in for new portel.
Airtel is worst in maintaining websites, their existing sites doesn't work well, if click on calendar date it will go to home page...., if we click on forgot password it will say so and so .jsp not available...thousands of functionalities doesn't even work..., Dear Airtel people , maintain the existing sites first then go for new ones. Creating a new portal which doesn't help is like fooling the customers in April.
bull crap... airtel cant even provide online registration for its customers to access their account details. they require us to submit a hard copy by walking into their main office(Not even the Airtel outlets collect these forms). i have had airtel connection for almost two years and still cant check my usage online.
Hi Prashant, I completely agree with you. Its really surprising that a company like Airtel can't provide this simple service. Even BSNL customers can approach any of the BSNL customer service centres for any assistance, but thats not the case with Airtel. Who has the time to go all the way to their main office? For the record Google Docs is available free for all gmail users. So whats so great in airtel providing the same. Some cheap gimmicks.
My experience of Airtel as NRI is very bad.I paid $25 for Calling India and could not access the account for weeks. And now because of non usage, they have appropriated that amount. I stick with reliance who are far better.
Hi there
Well I have Airtel Postpaid connection for last 1 year now, and I always pay my bill online using credit card, and can access all the details of the calls made.
Very very simple process, I dont know whats wrong with your case. But all this is there
we too have the facility. But they need us to register for it manually as i mentioned in my post. It cannot be done online.. i dont understand why atop of the line ISP like Airtel make such a simple process so complicated. The office they mention is atleast 10km from my place and in our kind of traffic i will need atleast 2to 3 hours to go there submit the form. Why do they need a hard copy when they already have all my details and i have been paying my bills on time for over two years now. Other than that their service is pretty good.
prashant....even i faced the same problem of airtel outlets not accepting the hard copy of the form.....i called up a nodal officer n explained my problem....he told me to courier it instead of submitting it to the head office...
i dont believe it , u know why all the problem that u get it coz as per people who belong to their state. here in chennai, people from chennai of customer care did give very good and robust response, major problem is their state people.
I have been using airtel for 2 years i have no problems in regisering as well as online bill payment. There is no use of hard copy. I dont know why in ur case u have to goto main office
i am using airtel for the past 6 years. and last 4 years of postpaid connection. For accessing bills online i register with their website online and they immediately send me a password to the mobile no for which i registered and I am all set to go from then to view my account details online.
Ya agree with u. Their revamped site is also poor. Cant access it. Also the service on brodband is nowhere near their mobile service. I rergret asuming that both service's are the same. Airtel pls buck up your show...
I found a fast, clear &quick service in and around Chandigarh, and to back home from here in NJ,USA. Only,I have realised its bit costlier, comparing input costs.
I called up the toll free to inquire for an broadband connection, I got a reply that their executive will get in touch with me in 15 working days..... Sucks....
I go with rubeus.. Airtel's Customer Care & Service is pretty good. I guess it does vary from place to place but its usually damn good in Chennai. But then again, the price is high. And their Broadband rates are so uncertain.
But this portal.. I don't know how much of a help it can be..
As always the customer service by airtel is good. But there are some issues by it outsourcing some of its service for third parties who have created most of the problem. Having used airtel for almost 3 years now i dont think i would regret continuing with them as there is less headache though the bills are bit hefty.
Have you heard this latest cool song, "Taron mein chaand ho tum...The Musical" on Airtel Live? It is sung by Kunal Ganjawala. Check it out!!!
