TV tuners come in two flavours: internal and external. While the former is the more popular, the latter is gaining in popularity since it has the advantage that it can work with desktops as well as laptops. We got hold of the PixelView PlayTV USB 415, which connects to your computer via a USB port. Note that a USB 2.0 port is required to accommodate the rather heavy data throughput that a TV tuner requires, which older versions of USB cannot handle.
