There's a small 1.3MP camera (with microphone) above the screen, to be used for VoIP and video chat; it doesn't need any drivers. A metal-finished power button sits just below the screen; the OSD buttons have been pushed to the side of the monitor. Twin 2-watt speakers are enclosed in the bottom of the bezel, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack is placed alongside the OSD buttons.
At the back, the VX2255wmh, apart from the power connector, has DVI-D and D-Sub (VGA) ports for input, along with a single 3.5 mm audio port that multiplexes input (for the speakers) and well as output (microphone) signals. A USB port is used as the interface for the camera at the top.
Using OptiSync technology, the VX2255wmh allows you to connect two different input devices simultaneously (one each for D-Sub and DVI-D) and then switch between them using the Input Select option in the OSD.
ClearMotiv II technology allows frame rates of up to 200 fps for true broadcast-quality, full-motion video, meaning smoother video action.
