At CeBit 08, Gigabyte has showcased their "Dynamic Energy Saver" motherboards, including the highly-anticipated Intel P45 chipset-based 'EagleLake' motherboards.

These offer support for Intel 45nm CPUs with 1600MHz FSB, and deliver lightning-fast DDR3 memory support (up to 1600MHz). With dual PCI Express 2.0 x8 connectivity, and support for ATI CrossFireX technology as well as Intel Turbo memory up to 4GB, P45 motherboards are claimed to push the envelope in terms of performance and flexibility demanded by power users and gaming enthusiasts.

The motherboards feature high-quality ALC889A audio codec, 106dB signal-to-noise ratio playback quality, thus enabling a wide range of home entertainment, gaming, and HD support.

Gigabyte also showcased their Intel X48-based extreme overclocking motherboards that support Intel 45nm Yorkfield CPUs with native 1600MHz FSB support.

The X48-based motherboards feature Dual PCI Express 2.0 x16 connectivity with support for ATI CrossFireX technology, and support for DDR3 memory up to 1900MHz or DDR2 memory up to 1200MHz, among others.

Additionally, Gigabyte showcased their latest solutions supporting the AM2+ platform, including the AMD 780G chipset-based GA-MA78GM-S2H with leading IGP graphics performance, and the Nvidia 780a SLI chipset-based GA-M780SLI-DS5 featuring Nvidia three-way SLI support and Hybrid SLI/Power support.

Based on both Intel and AMD platforms, Gigabyte's "Dynamic Energy Saver" motherboards feature advanced proprietary software and hardware design, and promise power savings up to 70 percent and improved power efficiency up to 20 percent through the use of Gigabyte's multi-gear power phase design.
