    D-Link Unveils New Wireless Adapters

    These wireless adapters are based on the 802.11g standard, and are backwards-compatible with 802.11b, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of wireless routers and networks.

D-Link has launched its range of wireless adapters for Wi-Fi computing -- Wireless G desktop Adapter (DWA-510), Wireless G USB Adapter (DWA-110), and Wireless G Notebook Adapter (DWA-610).

All models are Wi-Fi certified, and feature Wireless Multimedia (WMM), WPS, enhanced security 802.1X, WPA, WPA2, WEP, etc.

These wireless adapters are based on the 802.11g standard, and are backwards-compatible with 802.11b, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of wireless routers and networks. The adapters support WEP and WPA encryption for connecting to a secure wireless network, in order to protect data and privacy.

The company says that setting up these wireless adapters is not difficult. It takes a couple of minutes using Quick Setup Wizard, where users are guided through a simple process to install the new hardware to be set up in order to connect to the Internet.

The company claims that its new wireless adapters easily connect wireless networks with desktop or notebook PCs for browsing the Web, checking emails, and chatting with friends and family online. The wireless adapters offer simple network connectivity without the hassle of running a network cable.

Dlink's DWA-510, DWA-110, and DWA-610 are available in the market for approximate street prices of Rs 1,170; Rs 1,225; and Rs 1,460 respectively. These prices are exclusive of taxes. The adapters come with Digi-Care lifetime warranty as well as Windows Vista Support.
