    Samsung YP-T10

This sleek player promises to enchant your aural senses, but what about video?

Sleek and light-weight, very good audio quality, wireless Bluetooth headset (A2DP) support, good user interface

Somewhat unsatisfying video experience, slightly expensive

The new YP-T10

Slim has been the craze for a while now -- be it supermodels, cell phones, or even MP3 players. Manufacturers have been working hard to create thinner and sleeker models. For instance, Apple downsized the iPod nano's frame to a ridiculously thin 6.5 mm.

MP3 players from Samsung have always been appreciated for their sound quality, but the premium pricing has been a deterrent. I'm now reviewing one of their newer media players out in the market, the YP-T10. This model seems to be an upgraded version of the YP-K3 that we'd looked at a long while ago. Let's take a look at whether it can stand up to the fierce competition.

The Bundle

-- Samsung YP-T10 player
-- Samsung EP-370 earphones
-- USB cable
-- Software CD

i think the t10's touchpad is really hard to use. for some people it's just not comfortable. and also this gets too many fingerprints. i dont like sammy i use pendant theme but yeah this is a good player i don't regret getting it

Can the Bluetooth be used to connect the player to a cellphone ? ie cellphone --> player --> wired or wireless headphones ??? this way an incoming call is routed via the player , putting music on hold and resuming the playback once the call is over ? Does the Player support this facility ??

Although the model that i reviewed didn't allow that, a firmware update is available on the samsung website in order to use the player as a handsfree for your cellphone.

I hAve this mp3 player. And not to knock the Ipod in anyway... since it started this whole MP3 boom, but the sound quality on this Samsung mp3 player BLOWS Ipod out of the water. Do a sound test between the ipod and this machine and you will be amazed.....

nice to see the comparison with nano and zen and thanks mentioning the default headphones. its difficult to judge as a reader when you rate music quality as ok, fine,or good etc since one that seems good for u may be just about ok for your colleague.
