There will be many car sequences in GTA 4, just like in all the previous GTA games. This time round there's a "Chase Cam"; it will be implemented during car sequences and will give a cinematic feel to the entire sequence. GTA 4's Rage engine features "Natural Motion," which gives a very realistic feel to the character's movements -- meaning each time you jump out of a moving car, the resulting fall will be different.

In GTA 4, you can access many buildings, unlike in the previous versions. It can be a useful feature depending on the mission. The combat in the game has been improved, you can now take cover behind solid objects during a fire-fight. The aiming mechanism has also changed -- you will now aim using the trigger button; the camera changes to an over-the-shoulder view -- something similar to Splinter Cell. You can auto-aim in the game, which will be a relief for many (I've seen people struggle with the guns in GTA). If you press the trigger half-way, you can free-aim anyone -- this will be useful when there are enemies surrounding you. By pressing the trigger completely, you will start to auto-aim.
