An upgrade to the tx1000 series of Tablet PCs by HP (the company calls it an Entertainment Notebook PC), the tx2000 brings in a few minor changes. Looks-wise, it's gotten a designer top; otherwise it's pretty much the same. The 12.1-inch touchscreen is operated using a stylus, and it supports handwriting recognition.
The unit is powered by a dual-core AMD Turion 64 X2 processor and up to 2 GB of RAM. Hard disks of up to 250 GB are supported, and an HP LightScribe DVD burner is featured. Also included are a webcam and two omni-directional microphones. Media can be instantly accessed using HP's QuickPlay technology - meaning you can start TV, a DVD movie, or music software without booting into the OS.
Pricing starts at $1,299 (Rs. 51,000).
