EDS labs has come up with the WiDrive. It's a hard disk enclosure for 1.8-inch and 2.5-inch notebook drives with support for Wi-fi 802.11 b/g. It also has a built-in rechargeable battery that can last for up to 2 hours.
It has support for BitTorrent client, RSS podcast subscriptions, and a Web server. It's compatible with many networking standards like DHCP, WebDav UPnP and Bonjour.
The only disappointing factor is that the USB port provided on this device is for charging only. Therefore, you cannot use it as a conventional hard disk enclosure. You will have to compulsorily use Wi-Fi.
The WiDrive is expected to retail for USD 95 (Rs. 3,705).
