The update for the Xdock up for display at CES '08
At the CES 2008, Singaporean manufacturer Creative has displayed the update to their existing product, the Xdock.
Called the Xdock HD, this iPod dock can transmit audio wirelessly to X-fi enabled receivers. X-fi is Creative's proprietary technology which apparently fixes missing data in compressed audio files, thus producing better sound quality. It also plays video files off your iPod when connected to a TV. Armed with an HDMI port, it's capable to upscale videos from the iPod into either the 720p or 1080i resolutions, depending upon the connection.
Xdock HD is compatible with the new as well as old generation iPods. It is expected to retail in the market by Spring 2008 for USD 399 (Rs. 15,600).
