PlayStation 3 (PS3) is the undisputed bad boy of the console generation -- the hefty price tag, the frame-rate issues with some games, and above all, the availability of much cheaper options in the market. But hate or flame it, you just can't ignore it. I'm sure many wished for the PS3 from Santa this year as well (I know I did!), but Christmas is over and still no PS3 for most of us. Well, the least I can do is list some of the best games on the PS3 for 2007. The list does not include COD 4, Assassins Creed, Orange Box, because I've mentioned those games in the previous lists under games for PC and Xbox 360. Nevertheless, these have been great on the Sony console.
Heavenly Sword

I know, the game is very short and can be completed in just over 6 hours, but this time-span only makes it feel like a brilliantly produced movie. The voice acting, the high production values, and the jaw dropping visuals are all just a small fraction of Heavenly Sword; the plot, the deep gameplay, and the Kai (motion) levels are its real strength. If you haven't played the game so far, you've been missing on something special.
Dirt

Colin McRae's Dirt is a great game and among the very few that has a better frame rate on the PS3. The game looks amazing and plays very smooth; everything from the load menus to the car design is impressive. The game is great fun in the multiplayer mode as well as in the solo campaign, although it can be quite difficult at times.
This game is a must-have in your collection, even if you aren't a big racing fan. Sadly, the series has come to an end with the unfortunate accident and death of Colin McRae.
