A spokesperson for SOE said it is not for sale, and that the report saying Zapak Digital Entertainment is all set to buy it is completely false.
Yesterday, we reported that Reliance ADAG Group online gaming company, Zapak Digital Entertainment, is all set to acquire Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) for a sum of $300 million (Rs 1,200 crores).
And possibly by this week, Zapak will have full rights to all content owned and published by SOE. This, as per sources close to the development.
However, SOE has now gone on record to deny such a deal. A spokesperson for the company said it is not for sale, and that the report saying Zapak Digital Entertainment is all set to buy SOE is completely erroneous and false.
Meanwhile, SOE is the game- development and publishing arm of Sony Corp, and has come out with titles such as Everquest, PlanetSide, Star War Galaxies, and Vanguard.
