    Kodak EasyShare M873

Sudeep Naik, Dec 13, 2007 1700 hrs IST

It's got the looks and the style; but does is it perform well?

Good build and finish, Stylish, Good features, Continuous zoom.

Overall picture quality leaves a lot to be desired, Too much noise in images, Bad ISO performance.

With the new M-series, Kodak has added more options to the ever growing lifestyle camera market segment. The M-series, launched in October this year (India), combines new age style with the typical Kodak user friendliness.

The Camera

The Kodak EasyShare M873 is an ultra compact camera that has an 8-Megapixel CCD, a 38-114mm (35mm equivalent) with 3x optical zoom capability, and a 2.5-inch LCD screen.

The camera measures 92.4x56.5x17.9mm, making it one of the slimmest cameras in the market.

The body is all aluminum and comes in 2 colors; Midnight Black and Slate. Its rounded edges let you hold the camera quite comfortably. The build quality is good and gives the cam a chic look.

The M873's 2.5-in LCD on its rear gives a maximum resolution of 154K pixels. Like most other Kodak cameras, this one has 32MB of internal memory as well as an expansion slot for SD/MMC cards.

I am thinking of buying a digital camera preferably kodak. however I do not know the differance between kodak M853 and Kodak M873. Review is fine but would have been better when the two similar products are compared.

Hey Sudeep; Have u selected any manual setting for ISO; Cos 2 of the pics are showing low ISO-64. That might have ruined the pics... what says???
