eSys Information Technologies, in association with Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), has introduced its fully configured sub 10K Fighter PC in India.

So is it a fighter? The PC is equipped with a 15-inches CRT monitor, Sempron processor 3000, K8800/939 Motherboard, 512 MB DDR1 Ram, 40 GB HDD, IDE/CD ROM, PS/2 interface, keyboard, and mouse.

According to Vakul Bhatnaga, general manager of eSys India, "eSys Fighter PC offers world-class technology and varied utility for the home-user. It is a perfect fit for the mid-level income group."

The sub 10K Fighter PC is available for Rs 9,990, and comes with the monitor and ODD included.

CRT monitors, DDR1 RAM, CD-ROM are all being dumped (I excluded 40 GB HDD from list). The mouse most probably is not optical.

Good effort, its better than buying a second hand PC any day ... Smepron 3000 is pretty powerful.. for a sub 10K PC .. its a great setup ... but then again ... for 15-16 K one can get a dual core PC.

Almost the same config mentioned in Techtree guide on 10.07 is available now for 15-16 k minus the speakers and 15" instead of 17" and 80gb instead of 250gb and cd writer instead of dvd writer and 1gb memory instead of 2*512mb memory check the techtree pc buying guide for pc under 20k

It's decent for 10K considering that the seller also has to make a profit. 512MB RAM and a good 7.2K rpm HDD would give a home user decent performance. Dual core might have been desirable but there will be lesser compatibility issues with softwares. Of course for this price, gfx will definitely be onboard. Only problem is that the average home user would run out of disk space and might have to add an extra HDD.

Would have been better if it was available with DDR2 RAM. Nowadays DDR1 RAM are more expensive than DDR2. Is the company trying to dispose off the DDR stock they have into the market in this way?
