The Device
The MapMyIndia Navigator is available in 2 versions. We received the latest of the 2 -- the Amax 06GP5A.
The Amax 06GP5A has a SiRF star III antenna to provide good GPS connectivity and also has a touch screen providing a very interactive interface to work with.

Weighing 177g, the device is quite light and with the provided accessories, can be comfortably placed either on the windshield, or the dashboard of a car. It can also be easily carried in a pocket, in case you need directions while trekking.
It has a large 3.5-inch TFT screen with a 320x240 pixels resolution and an aspect ratio of 4:3. The device not only helps you with navigation, but can also provide entertainment. So for those trips where you don't need the navigational help, especially when following a daily route, you can use the device to play videos, audio, and even view images.
If you're wondering how this is made possible -- it's because the device is powered by a Samsung processor and a Win CE.net Core OS.

The navigator has an SD card slot with a maximum supported capacity of 2GB. All the maps come loaded on this, therefore updating the maps isn't much of a trouble though the SD also contains the OS.
The device has a speaker of its own to voice out commands, but in case you plan to use it as a PMP, be sure to carry along your headphones or if your car audio system has a Line-in option, nothing like it.
