The Dell XPS M1530 is the latest offering from the Dell XPS range. This laptop has a 15.4 inch, 1440x900 high resolution, CCFL powered display. This XPS can be configured with up to a Core 2 Duo 2.6 GHz processor, 4 GB DDR2 RAM, 320 GB SATA HDD, and an nVidia 8600M GT graphic card.

Other new features include optional slot-in blu-ray drives and up to 64 GB Solid State Drive (SSD) Hard Disks.

Wireless comes in the form of Wi-Fi 802.11n (with built-in Wi-Fi catcher function), Bluetooth 2.0, and optional HSDPA or EV-DO cards. It also has a 2 mega-pixel web-cam and a biometric fingerprint scanner. Lastly, easy control of entertainment is achieved using the Express card media remote.

Prices for the basic model start from USD 999 (Rs. 39,000) and can be configured from Dell's website currently in the US, UK, Germany, and France.

It must be US price. Don't worry. Once Dell is coming to India, they are learning dirty indian tricks and exploiting indian mentality that indians will pay anything to get what they think is best. We don't respect or even have a budget when it comes to objects of desire.

dell is not selling laptop in installment in india. I hope they need to give some good installment offers in india. so that medium people can afford to buy the laptop.

the US$999 price is for a cheaper processor than what is offered in the indian market. Still this doesnt justify the price difference. If you configure it to a higher spec, the US price and indian price almost reach same at around 60k

This notebook is already available in india staring at 53k. i would recommend this notebook since i own a m1330 which is the 13" version of this notebook.

Base configurations begin at $999 and more advanced models with Blu-ray included start at $1,999. I wish i could buy this from techtree at their mentioned price
