Design
The Dell XPS range has always been very stylish when it comes to looks, and the M1330 is no different.

On the exterior, the Dell and XPS logo with the rubberised plastic finish for the lid make it look exquisite. The chic finish continues on the inside with the brushed aluminium wrist areas, silver keypad, and touch-sensitive buttons.

But the XPS is not all about looks, the design actually makes things better and more comfortable. The keyboard and the 2 buttons of the touchpad are soft and relaxing to use. If you notice, the battery is slightly budging out; this is meant to keep the screen from going completely flat when opened completely, which in turn gives a very good viewing angle. The M1330 is thinner towards the front and thicker at the rear. Overall, the slope makes the laptop design very ergonomic.
Layout
The Dell XPS M1330 has a neat layout that makes using it very simple and comfortable.

The right side of the laptop has a USB port, a slot for loading DVD-RW (very stylish), PCMCIA card slot, wireless connectivity power switch, and a Wi-Fi search switch.

On the left side of the laptop is a mini FireWire 1394 port, a USB port, an HDMI port, a LAN port, a VGA port, and the power connector of the laptop.
