    Motorola RAZR2 V8

Frazier Barretto, Oct 19, 2007 2100 hrs IST

A "flaunt me" phone with a sophisticated interface

Great looks, Dual screen (both 240x320), 2MP camera, Sleek'n'Sturdy, Touch-sensitive music controls

Poor battery life and battery compartment, Fingerprint magnet, No memory card slot, QCIF video

Design

The RAZR2 is a gorgeous killer -- though not as much as Nikolett Barabas (the fem-fatale in the ad). It's difficult to focus your attention toward the phone; nevertheless, let's get talking about the RAZR2's beauty.

The phone has great build quality. The RAZR2 may look like a sleek phone, but it also gives you the feeling of being sturdy. It weighs 117 grams -- even though it's thinner than the original RAZR. The RAZR2 has a full gloss face. It's a fingerprint magnet but adds to the aura of the phone's beauty. Under the glass in the center is a large screen covering almost the entire face of the phone. It's a 2" external screen -- which one would want on any phone even for a default screen. Hidden under the glass are the camera and the Motorola logo. Just for info and so that you don't think of the phone as a delicate darling: the glass is toughened to get away from most scratches and even survive minor falls.

The left side of the phone has the volume control and the select button, which doubles as the camera hotkey with the flap open. The microUSB port of the phone is also on this side and is covered with a good quality dust cover. The right side of the phone has a long button for voice commands. All the 3 buttons have a brushed metal finish. The hinge of the phone is also made of metal and has a high quality spring. It opens pretty well, no matter how hard you force it. On the hinge, toward the right side of the phone is the lanyard hook.

I can't download my pictures from my Razr V8 to my computer? When I plug the USB cable in and open the pictures file it is empty. I have read the entire manual twice. I am a computer maintenance technician and I am A+ Certified!!!! I had my friend that is a infrastructurer engineer try to do it yesterday and he couldn't even figure it out. I love the phone but it is not as user friendly as I expected it to be. Can anyone tell me how to download the pictures from my phone to my computer without having to pay a provider?

If you want to download pictures on the computer, after you plug in the phone, go to Settings>>Connections>>USB>>and then select Memory device ( the second option) your computer will detect the phone as an external hard drive....

Nonsense phone. After buying this, you will feel the same way a new house owner would entering a fantastic house with amazing facilities, but with absolutely no electricity connections. Without battery power, what is the point of all this nonsense? How stylish will it be if you are showing off your phone to friends and the power conks off? Will India ever buy anything with common sense? or will we still buy Razr, Designer Gold Cell phone, Nokia Prism and other such utter crap?
