Coming: Hi tech, holographic screen-equipped laptops

    print mail share

Sony has added a concept to its Vaio series. It features a holographic glass screen that goes transparent when the display is turned off. And the keyboard turns opaque. It's really slim and looks RAZR2 like sharp.

Now, because this is a concept, it's likely that many laptops are going to end up being designed this way. The Vaio Zoom concept still isn't made official, and so we don't have its release date or price.

That's not holography. A hologram is a 3D projected display. What they've done is made a transparent LCD, that's all.

Well... its still looks awesome. A couple years back and one would only imagine a computer like that to be in a movie.
