Thailand is once again seeking to block certain video clips on the popular video sharing site, YouTube.

This time, YouTube is allegedly running 2 new video clips that accuse General Prem Tinsulanonda, royal advisor to King Bhumibol Adulyadej -- of masterminding the coup in September last year.

The 2 video clips together titled "The Crisis of Siam" run for 10 minutes and 42 seconds, followed by 6 minutes and 6 seconds respectively. They are narrated in Thai with English subtitles, and falsely accuse Tinsulanonda of plotting the coup.

According to Yanaphon Youngyuen, head of the cyber-crime department of the Ministry of Justice, the videos pose a serious threat to Thailand's security.

Earlier this year, Thailand had sought- and succeeded in- imposing a ban on YouTube for carrying defaced images of its revered monarch, King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

As a result, YouTube remained under ban for nearly 5 months, with the ban having been lifted only last month after the Web site agreed on removing the offensive video clips.

This time round, Thailand is seeking a ban on just the 2 defamatory video clips, and not the entire YouTube.
