'Bamboo Fun' for Digital Creativity

Wacom has launched "Bamboo Fun", which it claims, is an advanced input device for drawing, painting, sketching, and writing, as well as retouching photographs on a PC.

It has a stylish, contemporary White design, and comes in two wide-format sizes: small (overall tablet size 210 x 194 x 11 mm with active area size 148 x 92 mm), and medium (overall tablet size 280 x 235 x 11 mm with active area size 217 x 135 mm).
Both models come with a precision wireless mouse to be used along with the tablet. And they pack Corel Painter Essentials 3, a painting application; and photo editing softwares - Adobe Photoshop Elements 5 for PCs with medium-sized "Bamboo Fun" tablets, and Ulead PhotoImpact 12 SE for PCs with small-sized "Bamboo Fun" tablets.
Wacom claims that with just a few strokes of the digital pen and advanced pressure-sensitive resolution, digital images and photos can be easily edited, and imperfections adjusted. Besides, the strokes can be done in varying degrees of thickness, the company says.
"Bamboo Fun" unlocks powerful pen-based features, including intelligent handwriting recognition that is found in current operating systems like Windows Vista and Mac OS, as well as the capacity to add notes or signatures to documents for that unique personal touch.
An interesting feature is the pressure-sensitive eraser at the other end of the pen that can be used for quick corrections.
Morever, the tablet is equipped with 4 programmable ExpressKeys that can be used as shortcuts. It also has a new Touch Ring for easy zooming and scrolling.
