Just when I thought that Liquid Crystal Displays (LCDs) won't grow any bigger (or wider), I got a whack on the head when we received the latest monster from Viewsonic - VX2835WM.

CX2835VM is a 28-inch LCD. Yes, 28! Bigger than the TVs that most of us have at homes. I ain't complaining though.

Have a Issue with the VA1926w ... the DCR is miscalculating it seems, while i am playing games. when i go in a dark room, it totally makes me blind, and when i go in a lit room, it burns my eyes with the brightness. Is there like any hidden setting to rectify this issue ? Please let me know :)

yep, this is what I have been looking for. An HDCP compliant monitor that can doubleup as a HDTV for my mediacenter PC.I have seen reviews that said that the ones produced before Jul/aug 07 won't go to powersaving mode if connected with HDMI.Viewsonic has upgraded the firmware in the current production models to ensure that they go into the powersaving mode.Whether the ones currently available in India are preJuly ones or post August ones we are not sure. Will the distributors/Viewsonic clarify?

I totally disagree. I've been using Viewsonic monitors for years (CRTs and LCDs) and I've never had a single problem with them, including LCDs that I've bought abroad and hand-carried back to India.

A good company can be differentiated from the bad by checking their service quality. If you did not have any problems with the monitor then you haven't seen their service quality. So you cannot comment !! Apart from all that my personal opinion about is not very good. There are products that sell and then are those that do not sell. Viewsonic forms the latter category.

Don't know about the service. Haven't had the need for it yet. My VG1930WM is excellent and no problems so far. The guy who says "Viewsonic" doesn't sell - have you got facts to back up your statement?

ok sudeep just name a few 'bigger HDTVs' with full HD (1920x1080)" selling below 38k.... just watch your words before you spell them boy... I know its easy to sound dramatic... but taking short cuts for writing reviews hurts this good site more than anything!

absolutely right... please please TT get the facts right... there aint any LCD TV at that resolution and that size... this is one of the best... of course the premium ensures that this monitor is at comfort playing a monitor as well as TV role... nobody else can do that... sony costs 40K for 26". Get the facts right please... thx

Sure a HDTV may be bigger but try getting anything greater than 1360x768 resolution on a screen this size.
