"Mundu IM: iPhone Edition" is designed specifically for the iPhone, which, with all it's advanced Web browsing capabilities, does not have a native IM client.

Geodesic Information Systems today announced a browser-based Web application called "Mundu IM: iPhone Edition, which promises to fill the instant messaging (IM) void for the iPhone.

According to Geodesic, "Mundu IM: iPhone Edition" is designed specifically for the iPhone, which, with all it's advanced Web browsing capabilities, does not have a native instant messaging client.

The new application will allow iPhone users (with an AT&T connection) access to seamless chat across leading IM services, including AIM, MSN, Yahoo!, and Google Talk -- all through a single chat window.

Atul Chitnis, senior vice president for products, Geodesic, said, "Mundu IM: iPhone Edition not only demonstrates Geodesic's ability to identify future markets, but also to leverage it's technological prowess to rapidly create products needed by those markets."

Available to iPhone users in the US, they can use "Mundu IM: iPhone Edition" directly by pointing their browsers at http://iphone.mundu.com. More information on the product is available at http://messenger.mundu.com.
