The PS2 had many a list of games that made it proud. A particular game from the famed arsenal was really intriguing, this particular game was called Guitar Hero, quite an amusing name - recently PS2 shared the sequel to this very popular game with the Xbox 360. I recently picked up the controller and started playing the game, and every motion around me seemed oblivious. No matter how hard I tried, all that I could see was red, green, yellow, and at times blue. Not a word of my last sentence made sense to you, I know. Well, what can I say, I'm am obsessive compulsive gamer. Let's read a little more to know about the game.

The Game
Guitar Hero II is a direct sequel to the highly popular game Guitar Hero which was released for the Xbox 360. This game has been developed by Harmonix Music systems and published by Red Octane. A major hit worldwide, the game is all about music; but not just listening, but playing as well. Don't panic, you don't need to know the difference between minor and major cords. For that mater, you don't need to know the basics of the guitar or any other musical instrument. What you do need is hand and eye co-ordination of an elite sniper, otherwise all you will do is pull some empty strings.

Your singular goal in the game is to play some of the best rock songs ever to grace the genre. You know, the songs that most of us listened to in college, or still listen to. For example: originals and covers from bands like Nirvana, Cheap Trick, Kiss, Pearl Jam, Van Halen, Alice Cooper, The Police, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Rolling Stones, Guns N Roses, Iron Maiden and Aerosmith. Phew! This is just a small list of artists, although thses are probably the ones most will go ga-ga over. So how does one play this particular game? Read on...
