E3 is the biggest event in the gaming community, it has all the ingredients to make for a great event: mega-games, exciting announcements, upcoming titles, console rivalry, and so much more. Not surprisingly, E3 was big this time as well; what made it extra special is the fact that Sony had a point to prove to the world. They have been criticized by one and all for their overpriced PS3, limited games line up, and especially Killzone. Well, let me assure you that if you are a PS3 fan-boy, then this E3 belonged to Sony. I don't mean to take any credit away from Microsoft and Nintendo, they delivered more news on big titles like Gears of War on PC, Bioshock, Super Mario Galaxy and many more. Today, I have a brief description on each of these announcements. Since it was a big event and there were a lot of announcements, I will be covering the event in two parts, this one includes details on MGS4, Killzone 2, Halo 3, GT HD, Home, and many more.
Killzone 2

I'll begin with Killzone 2, as it was the highlight of the event. The video starts off just like the first one ever showcased at E3 2005 - two squads on flying platforms traveling to the battlefield. The game running real-time looked lifelike, it was close to the CG video we saw a couple of years back; given the time for release, I am pretty sure that the game will prove its point. The lighting effects and high polygon models make other games look timid. The gameplay seems frantic and overwhelming, it would make you feel like a part of the battle field. I just can't wait to get my hands on a reviewer copy, or anybody's copy for that matter.
MGS 4

This is the most awesome game-series ever made. This time around, Hideo Kojima is adamant that the MGS series will come to an end. The game looks as grand; in fact, I believe it is years ahead in terms of plot and gameplay. The new video showcases Vamp and Raiden in a battle of death (literally). The video will leave quite a few questions in your head, which any MGS veteran will be used to by now. All I can say is that this is going to be the best possible game in the stealth genre.
Gran Turismo -HD

When I saw GT HD, I thought it was beautiful game. The screenshot that you see above is a comparison of real-time gameplay screenshots to the actual cars. Here's the best part, this isn't the game, but one of the screens for the prologue of the game. The game is a full year away. I guess, the screen does the talking for the quality of the game's graphics.
