RCom Offers Free Internet Data Card

With these cards, Reliance NetConnect customers across the country can access the Internet at any time, and from any where...

Reliance Communications (RCom) is offering it's NetConnect customers across the country a mobile Internet data card at no additonal cost.

Elaborating on the scheme, S P Shukla, chief executive officer of personal business at Reliance Communications, said that customers can choose from a wide range of options, including getting a free data card against a 12-months subscription.

Under the 24-month subscription Freedom Plan, free usage of up to 1GB is available every month, whereas under the Swift 50 plan, users can avail up to 40 hours free usage every month.

Alternatively, customers can purchase the mobile Internet data card by making an upfront payment of Rs 2,850 for the USB data card, and Rs 2,990 for the PCMCIA data card.

Shukla said the company has already entered into alliances with laptop manufacturers to bundle the NetConnect Data cards.

Reportedly, there are over 10-million Reliance NetConnect customers across the country. With this offering, they will be able to access the Internet at any time and from any where, RCom said.

एक दसक पहले इस कम्पनी ने पान्च सौ रुपया मे मोबाइल फोन दिया था,पहले तो bsnl के पास टेलीफोन कनेक्सन ग्राहको को देने के लिये नही थे,मगर रिलायन्स को bsnl ने कितनी ही लाइने मुहैया करवा दी थी,ट्राई ने अपनी चाल को ग्राहको के प्रति वफ़ादारी का नक्शा दिखाया था,और bsnl ने अपनी पूरी की पूरी वफ़ादारी रिलायन्स को दी थी,एक दिन वो आया जब रिलायन्स ने अपने रीकवरी वालो को पूरी छूत देकर ग्राहको के घर भेजना चालू कर दिया,और किसी ने अपने घरो को गिरवी रखा,किसी ने अपनी नौकरी से उधार लेकर इस रिलायन्स को पैसा दिया,रोज नये नये प्लान और रोज नई नई स्कीमे लोगो के सामने रख कर जनता को खूब बेब्कूफ़ बनाया,सेमी कन्डक्टर की कीमतो को हर कोई जानता है,जो आई सी या सेमीकन्डक्टर बाजार मे कुच पैसो मे मिलता है,वही प्लस्टिक मे पेक करने के बाद,जनता को बेबकूफ़ बना कर बेचना चालू कर दिया है,जो आदमी अपने हाल चाल एक पोस्ट कार्ड से मात्र पच्चीस पैसे मे ले लेता था,वही अब आलसी स्वभाव के कारण रोजाना पन्द्रह से बीस रुपया केवल समाचार लेने के लिये करता है,लुटेरो को मजा आगया है,वे बेन्क से निकलते ही मोबाइल से रुपया निकालने बाले की पहिचान कर लेते है और अपने साथिओ को बता देते है,सरकार भी जो टीवी पर टेक्स लगाने जा रही है,वह इन कम्पनियो पर टेक्स लगाने के बिलकुल नही सोचेगी,कारण कम्पनी बाले इन नेताओ के घर पर जाकर मोटी थैली मुलायम सिह जैसी देकर आयेन्गे,और वे अपने दस्तखत से इनको आबाद करने के बाद गरीबो का हक छीन कर इनके पॆटो को मोटा करने के लिये दे देन्गे.

लेकिन यह बात तो सही है लेकिन आम जनता जाए तो जाए कहां क्योंकि यहां पर हर कोई भ्रष्ट बैठा हुआ है। कहने के नाम पर तो हर कोई देश और जनता की सेवा में लगा हुआ है लेकिन वास्तव में वह जनता को लूट रहा है। हर तरीके से आम जनता दिन प्रतिदिन इस बोझ के तले दबती जा रही है। कई बार तो मन में इन सबके प्रति बुरे-बुरे ख्याल आते हैं लेकिन समझ नहीं आता कि क्या किया जाय।

I'm also a victim of these products......Reliance Netconnect is WORST!!! Do not buy this product. The speed depends upon the network availability & varies as per area. Even then you won?t get good speed. Mail gets diconnected all the time.

Rcom is a cheating company. It has charged me excessively so many times, and their customer care have no shame in contradicting themselves and not registering complaints. I finally gave up on them. Kaash, Rcom Mukesh ke paas hoti. sigh !

I used to use reliance internet in 2005-2006. I stopped using reliance connection and returned their phone back in Aug 2006. I got my deposit amount for 2500 back on 4 July 2007 !!!! I visited their R-World and customer care every 15 days... I know all the staff people from F.C.Road branch!!! One guy figured out that the form that I submitted doesnot have a round stamp because of which they are not returning my money which the FCRoad branch forgot to stamp... after following this story for couple of months... one customer care guy figured out that my returned telephone insturment was still lying with them and they forgot to return it!!!! The bottom line is Reliance SUCKS!!!! Whoever is planning here to go for any reliance service please be careful. There bill software and user registration software has major flaws and I have seen the issues. The software developed by Australian team of students by charing tones of money with flaws!!!!

You r absolutely right. RCOM is number 1 cheater company. Just yesterday I received SMS from RCOM to erecharge with Rs.111 by 30th sep.2007 and get full offnet talktime. I went to Webworld, they did not have this information and they were not ready to take any responsibility of how much talktime I will get after recharging with Rs.111. They suggested me to dial *333 and ask, I called up and some Irshad from Bombay was on line, he told me that if you get this SMS then you erecharge with Rs.111, you will definitly get full offnet talktime. Finally, I have recharged with Rs.111 and I got only Rs.95 talktime, I don't know it is offnet or innet. This is happend with me third time. Can anybody give me any contact so that I can take legal action on them. I have all proof.

They r simply chor. There customer service persons are like stupid. I went to get a datacord from Kukatpally Rel Web word. When i asked about the details, i have been promised for 80kbps download speed. Either they are cheating or they r stupid. Second, once i agreed to get a connection, they asked to fullfil so many formulties. The way, there service provider speek is rediculous. They r doing job like Govt service. No customer focus, no attention, no care. Perhaps they dont need customer. Finally i decide to give up.

I had taken a connection from reliance web-world (Noida) in 12 september and I submitted all the documents whatever they asked me,and connection started within 2 hours. But after 1 week I got a call frm customer care and they De-activated my outgoing and said again submit all documents. when I complaint in customer care they said me they could not do anything. the reliance net connect card s***s. so does there customer care service. I have not used any other net connect service but have definitely compared it with my friends data card connection not too sure which company it is from. but his connection is damn faster done mine and more steady. unlike the reliance card it doesnt have any disconnect issues. The Reliance customer care attitude is also pathetic. when i bought the card they were offering stars. but 2 days after i bought the card and i was out of station i wasnt able to access the internet. i called them up and the response and service received was pathetic. anyone planning to go for this. my suggestion would be dont.

Reliance tariff plans are still on the higher side as compared to other competitors in the internet data card. As free Laptop cards, relaince is demanding a high money for offering these data cards. Either reduce the overall amount or enhance the free connection from 3 months to 12 months at a lower tariff at least. This are the genuine views from my side. i would advise to think twice before purchasing any data card in free schemes....

रिलाइन्स कम्पनी ने हिन्दुस्तान मे जो अपनी चाल चल कर कितने ही लोगो को लूट कर बेबकूफ़ बनाया है,इस बात को वे लोग ही जानते है जो इस कम्पनी के चन्गुल मे फ़न्स चुके है,इस कम्पनी ने लोगो की आलसीपन की आदतो को जी जान से भुनाया है,साथ ही उन लोगो के पेट पर भी जम कर लात मार रही है जो किसी तरह से अपने बच्चो का पेट सब्जी भाजी बेच कर पालते थे,सडक के किनारे जो गरीब लोग होटल आदि बना कर अपनी रोजी का साधन बना लेते थे वे भी इस कम्पनी के चन्गुल मे आ गये है,समय की कीमत को बसूलना इस कम्पनी के अधिकारी बहुत ही ठीक तरीके से जानते है,एक बार किसी तरह से इस के चन्गुल मे फ़न्स जाओ बस,फ़िर देखो किस प्रकार से मीठे मीठे लुभावने सपनो की दुनिया मे ले जाकर रिलायन्स आपको लूटने की योजना बनाता चला जाता है,भारत की सबसे बडी बी एस एन एल टेलीफोन कम्पनी के अधिकारिओ ने मिल कर और भारत के ही बडे बडे अधिकारिओ और नेताओ की मिली भगत का नतीजा है रिलायन्स,मगर एक दिन तो गरीब का भी आता है,जिस दिन इस गरीब नारायन का तीसरा नेत्र खुला रिलायन्स का पता भी नही लगेगा.

Further to my previous comments, the Reliance is charging around 3700-3800 bucks for a free data card that is optional with any new compaq laptops. Just think is it worth purchasing at this cost after spending anappreciable amount on the laptop. HP/Compaq website says: Free data card from Reliance on every laptop purchase....Just think over it...either reduce the price or change tariffs for further enhancing the market share...

I agree that the NetConnect pcmcia data card has a good demand because it works fine with any compatible laptop.But the USB data card does not support Vista based laptops and they dont even specify at the time of purchase about this.when a customer contacts them about this problem,they just ask them to file a complaint,but they dont solve the issue.I Suggest not to buy USB based data card from reliance.They are just cheating customers.Atleast 2 or 3 people come to RCOM daily regardind this issue.

Reliance internet products is a complete flop when you take consideration billing customer support and their promise. I won't give any fact finding or story but thats what i thing most user here in this place feel. Dont know about Airtel but BSNL broadband is acceptable and reasonable. I wam waiting for their most hyped wireless connection here in Bangalore--already started in Kolkata ..

This is nothing but just a Gimmick. The main problem with reliance net connect is not their cheating or manipulating with bills, but the problem lies in the way they bill customers. They say under freedom plan, it costs 30p/min & 60p/min during off-peak & peak hours respectively. But the real scenario is different. They do charge you at those rates, their is a setting called ACTIVE MODE & DORMANT MODE in reliance phones/modems. You connection gets dormant if u just dont have any data transfer for 30 sec, and subsequently you are charged 30p or 60p for that 30 seconds, suppose if u immediately send or receive data within suppose next 10 seconds then you will be charged again as soon as ur connection comes back to ACTIVE STAGE. Thus you will be charged twice even in a single minute. This does make a lot of difference! The Reliance customer care is a real bulls**t. Believe me I have been using 2 reliance telecom products since last 2yrs or more, the basic service is good with good network coverage. But as soon as u start demanding more service its simply s**ks. It's better to go for BSNL Dataone broadbands instead. And still if u need Internet on the move go for AIRTEL GPRS.

i don't think so, because it is CDMA network which FORCES phones to go into & outside dormant mode. so no POSSIBILITY of charging two times in one minute. because internet usage is same as outgoing call. if u uses intenet for 30minutes, and out of that 20minutes is dormant. then they will charge only for 30minutes.

I got a prepaid Card for 4990 (PCMCIA) one month ago, and now the Data Card is 2990, dam such a huge drop in price. The net connect speeds are ok not good for streaming music or video. One bad thing RCom is they are no more supporting prepaid card, which is worst of their service. In this one month the net card never connected to the internet for the past 2 weeks even after repeated complaints with the Customer Care, until I had to argue with the R-World outlet center person, who took personal interest to resolve the issue. Over all not so good experience with RCom Data Card Internet Connection. One of the worst Customer Care. Spends too much on Advertising Speeds better than BSNL Home 250.

No doubt they are cheaters. Always overcharged and not easily refunding the security deposit on my landline after surrendering the phone. I had to struggle for about 6 months to get the money back

Company officially said 144kbps max(which is ofcource lower than 256kbps broadband), but speed dependes on many factor like, city, area, tower, cell phone user connected with same tower, day/night time, if ur in car then car speed, computer processor(p4 or core2duo), memory avbl(RAM), other appilication running, etc, but average speed is 67kbps, max 110, min 40kbps. in short u will get 67 speed atleast 15hrs/day. this calculation comes if u uses internet 24hrs, for 30days. price of plan is also average. and reasonable if u subscribe for 12months pack. in brief i will give 3.5star out of 5 for reliance NETCONNECT. against 4 star for tata indicom NETCCONNECT service. But warning : KEEP ONE on BILLING part, and other on internet service package

Reliance's schemes are bull-shit. Look, there's big difference between being a big company, looking just at earning big buck by cheating its customers and a company delivering value to its customers and achieving customer-satisfaction. Reliance Communications believes in the former model: let the customers go to hell !!

Basically, all Cell/Mobile based internet will be like that given the low-end technology used in India. If you need to wirelessly surf net at high speeds, u require 3G or else WiFi / Wi Max, which is slowly coming here
