The DivX player has been around for quite some time now but it will soon die out and get upgraded by HD-DVD/Blu-ray players. Even though its days are numbered (more like years in India); there will be many seeking the feasible option of DVD DivX Player and so, you might as well settle in with a VFM (Value-For-Money) option. Companies like Tech-Com provide such options. Let's see what they have to offer us and whether it's really worth the buck till we wait for those HD-DVD/Blu-ray players to hit a low.

man techcom has distribution centrre in sector 20 in showrooms in row where compaq/lenovo has centres in chandigarh.along themanin road dividing 20 and 33 .techcom centre is on top floors of the showroom.

hey even i have to brand new box packed ones, but they were purchased one month back. I ready to pop them of cheap. Both work fine. Never used. I bought them for 2100 each, can give for 1800 each. take single or both. i got them for a gift, but dont need them now.

am surprised, have their speakers, they arent so bad, then maybe its becasue chinese stuff cant be trusted. if it works it works, if it doesnt work, then god help you. But I think if it was a reputed brand, you would have got a replacement imme.

I agree, I have also suffered with tech com. I also fell for the looks and pricing of the divx player after reading the review. now I am too far away to be able to return it. And when I called the Delhi office, a guy called Amit, said what else do you expect at this price. get it along we will see if it can be repaired, I said but its new, I don?t want any repaired, so he said, fine then suit yourself. All Chinese stuff that you buy will not necessarily work. You get it; we will see what we can do. I got so disgusted, and decided never will I buy any other product from them.

Oh ho. For so long I was thought, that I was the only one having this player which is not working. I was fed up. It worked well for 1 week. then it did not play cd also. dvd is a far off thing. now its in one corner in the original packing. anyone wants, can come and take it. its 3 months old. take it free.

i have bought this player. It is really sad.Now it refuses to work, i sent it to their mumbai off and the guy says, its working when we test it. now what the hell is the prob here. i have checked all the divx dvds which used to play earlier on it, and now they dont. And they themselves dont seem to have confidence in it. They say abhi chinese maal hai, aur kiya chahiye. Come on maan. You arent supposed to sell it if you arent sure of it. Why dump it on us? I hope techtree is properly verifying things before passing a positive judgement on it. Guys pls dont ruin your credibility because of a some unreliable product. Its not worth your reviewing time. pls boycott these low grade products. its better not to have anything than to have these pathetic products which wont last more than a month. you can get a pioneer s 393 for about 3000 rs or lesser in the grey market. and the player rocks. i trusted techcom and am regretting it bigtime.

Based on this review I purchased the DVD 3100 set. First of all, since I wanted it to replace my Philips cd player I think its doing the job as far as audio is concerned. However, here below are my complaints : 1) The Operation manual is cryptic. A normal human like me cannot understand a single instruction. I have a philips set and its manual is so clear. 2) Since I need to connect my amp to this set I do not know which jack I am to connect for a simple sterio effect. There are too many output slots in the back. Can someone tell me. 3) The review mentions that there is an Equalizer both preset and user mode. I cant for the life of me find on how and where it was. Is it just for the review or does it really exist. 4) With the cable provided I connect the red and white ends to the FL and FR jacks. That means the yellow one is not connected anywhere. When I put on the amp I get a big hum sound. Can someone tell me how this can be eliminated.

Hi Sudip I too am facing similar problems.The manual is horrible .Unable to get color picture and had to use another audio cable to get the audio.Only black and white images coming as of now.Can anyone help ho to get colored display.What might be the connections.Have a samsung 25m6w t.v. thanks.
