Taiwanese TV Makers, LCDArm seem to have the solution for the "Wiimote breaking TV screens" problem that Wii users have faced. This LCD Safety Shield was not specifically designed with Wii users in mind though.

LCDArm has announced that the shield is made to fit 30 to 46 inch screens, has an invisible frame, 98% transparency and also reduces the UV Rays emitted from the TV. No word on the price or the release date yet.

Does LCD TV really emit UV rays? To my knowledge, It is just realignment of crystals which allow or stop light passing through.
