Design
MOTOROKR has an amazing design for a PDA handset. What more can you expect from Motorola, they're pro at designing phones and it just keeps getting better! This one too is a beauty to look at. It gives you the feel that it's a slider or a candy-bar. The phone although is truly a PDA. Its dimensions, 111 x 51.5 x 14.5 mm, however almost defy the possibility, except for the length of the phone. The phone weighs 121 grams making it quite light for a PDA.

The entire face of the phone sports a glossy finish much like the finish as seen on the PEBL. The face of the phone starts off with a Motorola logo embedded into the phone which has a steel finish. On either side of it is the earpiece of the phone. Below the earpiece is a large 2.4-inch, 256K TFT touch screen which supports a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. Followed by the screen are the D-Pad and two buttons, which are the call answer button and a call hang-up button respectively; below these are the internet hotkey and a customizable button. The call hang-up button doubles as a Power On/Off button. The D-Pad is a 5 way D-Pad and is well designed such that access to all the 5 clicks is very comfortable.

Face up the phone's left side and you will notice lots of buttons that run along the side. There is a volume control followed by the SD expansion slot that has a very flimsy cover which feels like it can break off very easily. Next to the memory card are the dedicated music controls of the phone. There is a Play/Pause button with a Forward and Next button on either side.

The right side of the phone is clean of confusion and just has a camera hotkey at the top. Below the camera hotkey is the keypad lock which is a slider which has a couple of neat ridges to help in sliding the phone easily.

The top right of the phone has a standard headphone jack and neck strap holes in the center. The bottom right comprises of a miniUSB port and a switch to open the battery compartment is placed in the center. The stylus for the phone is placed under and slides out downwards.

The back of the phone has another steel Motorola logo almost in the center. On the top, there is a slightly elevated square which nestles the 2 MP camera and there is a tiny circular mirror to assist clicking self portrait images. There is a slider notch next to the lens to change the camera mode from Landscape to Macro. The right top corner of the elevated dotted square camouflages a fingertip sized circular speaker of the phone. There is no protection for the camera lens and its glassy gets smudgy pretty easy.
